  3. VoIP Software Free Downloads
If you have a fast connection to the Internet (say 64kbps or more) you should consider Voice Over IP (VoIP) as a solution to your telephone requirements. This applies to Broadband, DSL and T1 connections. A normal broadband connection will allow many simultaneous VoIP calls. Once you change to using VoIP you can install software to do the telephony work, including working as a PBX or telephone key system, call recording, voice mail, on-hold messages or simply to work as a telephone. VoIP stands for "Voice Over Internet Protocol". The audio signals are converted from the normal analog to a digital format and then transmitted over the Internet as data packages. At the receiver side they are converted back into normal audio. High speed Internet connections have resulted in better quality audio and it is now often possible to run several "lines" over a single Internet connection. It is possible to purchase specialized VoIP devices but the normal computer sound card can be used in conjunction with a microphone and speakers (or headset) for speaking to a person across the town or across the world.

  4. Free VOIP Software
Unlike the distant past, fortunately nowadays there are many good Free VOIP Softwares available, some of them are studded with almost all the beneficial features. Historically, VoIP Software focused mainly on the DSP, primarily due to the components' high representation in the design of VoIP platforms. Not surprisingly, OEMs centered their design decisions on which DSP they intended to use, with the standard considerations of performance, size, and power dissipation following suit. The VoIP Software vendors responded in kind by supplying the necessary codecs and data packaging components necessary to run on the DSP, however this bottom-up approach left manufacturers to fend for themselves with the most critical design elements, including system management, signaling, call control, gateway control, and control plane interface. Often, the integration of these disparate components was quite a difficult process, requiring the stitching together of algorithms and protocols from many different suppliers for VoIP Software. Consequently, system efficiency was sub-optimal, and time to market was
    painfully slow.
