Udhagamandalam which is often known as Ooty is the most sought after hill station in south India. The pristine beauty of nature has given it the status of the Queen of Hill Stations. The headquarters of the Nilgiri regions Ooty is located in the western ghat at the altitude of 2240 metre. The Nilgiri regions have its own significance as the meeting point of the two ghat ranges. The discovery of Kodaikkanal is not happened in one day. It has taken almost 24 years to ascertain the place like Kodaikkanal. In1821 Lieutenant Ward came to Kodaikkanal to survey the place. Located amid the four mountains Yelagiri, a celebrated hill station is recognized for its salubrious climate that dominates although the year.
