Hi,

R is a programming language and it also provides environment for running programs written in R language.

You can create r code and save into file with .r extension. Then use the r environment to it as scheduled application.

There are many uses of R Programming. IT professionals are using it for writing programs for data analysis and visualization.

The statisticians and data miners are using it for analyzing data and come up with the real value of data. They are using it for visualizing data using charts and graphs.
