Data science is an essential skill that all aspiring data scientists need to be well-known for, as it is the foundation of almost all of the work done today in this field. While there is no magic formula for how to code data, it is essential that if you want to excel at data science you should have a good grasp of the fundamentals.

* Data Science Faculty*

Our Data Science faculty is selected by the student, and our faculty, in consultation with staff and colleagues in academia and industry, provide data science classes to our incoming junior and senior seniors. We provide these classes with the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet data science needs of our students, and to develop and continue in their research.

* Courses You Must Take**

You must take all of the following courses for admission to the Data Science major, starting with:

1) Foundations of Mathematics

2) Advanced Algebraic Geometry

3) Introduction to Probability and Optimization
