Hi,
I want to know more about Google Semantic Search and how it works?
Thanks
Hi,
Let's discuss in more detail.
What is Google Semantic Search?
Semantic Search is a set of features within Google (including search, the language field, and links) dedicated to identifying the meaning of a text. It's more important than ever in today's internet age. This is the main function of this feature:
By providing a search box within a search box, you are asking your computer a list of questions. As you type, a system automatically parses the entire page for matching text and subtext.
The most common use of this feature is to search words on a web page. You would search for things like "tortoise" and your computer would send the questions into a database.
What does this mean for you? The above is just one of the many uses of this feature.
For example, to search for "tortoise", search for your search words within the search box, followed by the sentence "If I had a tortoise with me when I died, I would live forever".
If you find that you got a result with:
"If I had a tortoise with me when I died"
You would be correct. This is the definition for the term "tortoise", and if you search for this sentence you will, most likely, receive a result with "tortoise".
The reason why Google creates keywords when they match your query is to index your text as content. It is a way that you can provide your computer with information in a way that isn't obvious when you aren't looking at the web page.
When your computer is searching for "tortoise", it asks it's own question. Do you mean the word "tortoise", or is this about a different term?
This question of the computer asking "questions" is why a keyword search will be referred to as a keyword phrase. Google is not really giving you information that you would not already know, it's just finding the information on the web that you are looking for.
Why is Google Search So Interesting?
Why does everyone in the world love this feature of Google so much?
I would argue that the reason we love this feature of Google so much is the way it helps us create knowledge.
You see, many people, especially children, often do not yet consider how to learn. Our brains have never been trained to comprehend information, so it's all about trying to learn by trying until we achieve mastery.
That is why Google Search is the most popular search engine. I can imagine children around the world being completely amazed by all the information available on the web. It is the one thing that can get our minds into the right state to be able to think creatively, and then do creative things.
What kind of information would you come up with?
Would you be able to create a website, and provide information in a way that is unique, informative, and helpful (not the typical copy and pasting you get from an encyclopedia)? Would this result in a website worth your time?
Would you find the information useful and interesting?
Would you use this information to educate your children?
Could you even think creatively about information you find on the web?
Would you be able to take an idea and create something that will change the way people think of their world?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then Google Search would make all of this much more likely.
Thanks
