The major river of the Portugal, Tagus splits the country and stretches all the way from Spain to the Atlantic Ocean. Northern part of the country is mountainous while the southern part consists of rolling plains. Mount Pico, at a height of 7,713 feet, is the most elevated peak in the country. The beach of Praia Dona Ana, the mountain of Serra da Estrela, the blue lagoons of Lagoa das Sete Cidades make for some incredible sights.
