Hi there, How do I test whether an element exists in jQuery?

You can check existance of an element in jQuery using length property of the jQuery collection returned by your selector.
if ( $('#element1').length ) $('#element1').show();
The above code will show the element if it exists, and do nothing (with no errors) if it does not:
