IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol that provides the facility to send or receive mail via a central server from their desktop onto their personnel device like laptop, PDAs and mobile phones without having another accessories or devices. Besides this the user don't need to worry about the user space, because it saves the data directly on  the central server.
