Matheran Hill Station of India
Matheran is a hill station in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This small idyllic summer resort in Sahyadri hill attracts everyone with its immaculate beauty and spectacular views. Hugh Poyntz Malet, a british officer posted in the Thane district discovered the place in May 1850 while its foundation was laid by Lord Elphinstone, the then Governor of Bombay.
