How to Reach Pondicherry By Air
Puducherrry houses no airport but it is just 135 k.m. away from the Chennai International Airport, which is well connected to all major airports of India and lots of international airports. Tourists can also land onto Bangalore airport that is just 320 k.m. away from Puducherry. From there they can take the road or rail route service.
Getting into Puducherry by Train/Rail
The nearest railway station is Villupuram, just 36 km away from Puducherry and is connected to Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. The alternative option is Cuddalore that is connected to Bangalore and Puducherry. Commuters will have to opt the road transport for remaining journey.
Reaching Pondicherry By Road
Puducherry is well connected to Southern India road network. The national highway (NH-45) passes through it. Puducherry is well connected to Chennai, Bangalore and even Kerala too. The facilities of public and private transport services are available from these points to reach Puducherry.
