Shankar's International Dolls Museum of Delhi

One of the world's largest collections of dolls can be found in Delhi. This collection is located at Shankar's International Dolls Museum. This is a museum that is home to thousands of different dolls from many countries and many periods of time.

The International Dolls Museum was set up in 1965 by Kesava Shankar Pillai. He was known for being an editorial cartoonist who helped to bring in the art form to India. He collected dolls from many countries that he went to and was eventually inspired to create an exhibit for children to view with all of these great dolls on display.

The collection of dolls in the museum is very large. It is estimated that there are more than six thousand of these dolls on display here. These dolls come from a variety of countries. In fact, there are about eighty-five countries represented in the museum.

Most of the dolls on display come from India. About a third of the collection consists of dolls from different time periods and different sections of India.
