SQL UCASE Function

The UCASE function help you to converts the fields value into the uppercase.

Create Table Stu_Table

To understand this example, Our Tutorial provides an example that create a table 'Stu_Table'. The create table statement create a table 'Stu_Table' with field attribute and respective data type.

SQL statement to create table:

create table Stu_Table(Stu_Id varchar(2), Stu_Name varchar(15), 
Stu_Class  varchar(10),sub_id varchar(2),marks varchar(3));

Insert Data into Stu_Table

The insert into insert the records or rows value to the table 'Stu_Table'.

Query

SQL statement to converts the fields value into the uppercase. The given Query convert all the records in field 'stu_name' into the uppercase.

select stu_id, ucase(stu_name)
from stu_table group by stu_id;
