Blackboard Inc. has developed free application for the iPhone users. With the use of this application iPhone users can access their course information online. This application is available to all Blackboard clients running the Blackboard Learning System license Release 7.1 or Blackboard Learn, Release 9.0. This initiative will help to develop mobile learning culture among students. The seamless learning environment helps students to follow their course by receiving updates and alerts on grades, assignments, tests and information about courses even when away from the classroom.

Michael L. Chasen, President and CEO of Blackboard said that Blackboard applications could make learning suitable irrespective of time and place.
