There are two ways you can convert Java String object to char Array:

1) Create char array with the size of String Object and then add one character at a time.

2) Use the String.toCharArray() function which will return the object of char array.

Here is both examples:

public class StringToCharArrayExample {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        String msg="Learning Java Programming";

         // Creating empty char array 
        char[] charArrary = new char[msg.length()]; 
        // Copy one character at a time into char array
        for (int i = 0; i < msg.length(); i++) { 
            charArrary[i] = msg.charAt(i); 
        } 
        // Print the char array data
        for (char c : charArrary) { 
            System.out.println(c); 
        } 

        //Example using the Satring.toCharArray()
        System.out.println("Using String.toCharArray() function:");
        char[] chArray = msg.toCharArray(); 
        // Now print the data
        for (char c : chArray) { 
            System.out.println(c); 
        } 
    }
