What is SCA - Service Component Architecture

I want to know more about the SCA. What is SCA - Service Component Architecture? What is the use of SCA in application development and how it is implemented?

Hi,
What is SCA(Service Component Architecture)?
The SCA is based on the principals of SOA and extends this in some way. The Service Component Architecture (SCA) is one of the popular software technologies which is designed for composing the application following the architecture defined in Service Oriented Architecture.
The Component Architecture is supported by industry leaders such as IBM, Oracle and TIBCO Software, which makes is widely accepted technology for system design.
The SCA design many times uses already established enterprise service bus (ESB).
Application designed with SCA should have following things:
- Decoupling of business logic
- It should include wide range of technologies including including C++, Java, COBOL, and PHP as well as XML, BPEL, and XSLT
- Support multiple communication methods between applications including one-way, asynchronous, call-return, and notification
- Build application so that legacy component becomes accessible through technologies such as Web Services, EJB, JMS, JCA, RMI, RPC, CORBA and others
- Include enterprise security for the applications
- Data in the application/legacy application should be represented as Service Data Objects.
