update excel sheet using jsp::

Hi Sir,...

I have a excel sheet for employee details

           "i retrieve particular datas from given excel sheet and display it into   
            another excel sheet using jsp"

i am using 'session' to get the empid from one page to another jsp page to delete the data in excel but it not working.. it shows null point exception..

give suggestion sir,.please..
