Mysql Date return you the maximum rows or records value from a table.

Understand with Example

The Tutorial illustrate an example from Mysql Date Max. To grasp this example, we create a table 'employees'. The create table construct a table employees with field attribute  and data type respectively.

Query for creating table:-

mysql> CREATE TABLE employees(
-> Empid int(10),
-> Empname varchar(60),
-> date date );

Output:-

Query for inserting data:-

The insert into add the records or rows into the table 'employee1'.

mysql> insert into employee1 values('2','Komal','2008-12-23');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.03 sec)

mysql> insert into employee1 values('2','Sandeep','2008-12-24');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.02 sec)

mysql> insert into employee1 values('2','suman','2008-12-25');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.03 sec)

Query for Viewing data:-

mysql> select * from employee1;

Output:-

Query for finding maximum date from the table:-

The below Syntax return the maximum value of date field name 'date' as Max Date from table employee1. 

SYNTAX:-Select max(DateFieldName) From TableName

mysql> select max(date)as MaxDate from employee1;

Output:-

| MaxDate    |
+------------+
| 2008-12-25 |
+------------+
