  • Webdav functionaltity makes document handling more powerful.
  • New controls make the UI more appealing.
  • Database reverse engineering allows you create a new design of an existing database within minutes.

Designing: jACOB is one of the fastest tools for building powerful web applications.  Now we have made it even faster and easier to use:

  • For most of the objects drag and drop is now available during the design phase.
  • We have added form templates to make to ensure that any form looks the same.
  • We added more powerful wizards.
  • Cleaning and refactoring methods have been improved
  • Screen layout features have been improved as well, with guides and more intelligent defaults for sizing and positioning

Workflow : You can now add logic and rules to an application without using the design functions of jACOB. Activate the workflow option and any application administrator can define where the rule should be activated, and just  "draw" how it should work.

A Simple example:  You want to add a routine whereby every time you create a new customer for invoicing, you send an email to that customer with his address data and with a request to confirm that the data are correct.
