Marshall Islands is a Micronesian nation of islands located in the Central Pacific Ocean. This island is independent since 1986 under the Compact of Free Association with America. Micronesians were the first settlers of Marshall Islands back in 2000 BC. The island is named after John Charles Marshall who came to this island back in 1788. Following that, there were confrontations between the British, Spanish and German powers over the ownership of these islands. Thus, the Marshall Island was right in the middle of the World Wars 1 and 2.

Some of the inhabited atolls of Marshall Islands are Ujelang Atoll, Toke Atoll, Bikini Atoll and Jemo Atolls among others. These islands experience hot and humid summers with occasional typhoons.

There are few natural resources in the islands to support its economy. Banking sector, repair, construction are some of the industries to have emerged recently.
