Some of the major rivers in the country are River Shire and River Zambezi, which flow all the way to combine in Mozambique.
Agriculture is the backbone of Malawi's economy. The country's culture is a mixture of native and colonial traditions. It's highly influence from Arabs, Europeans and Asians. Several forms of dances form the core of Malawi's culture along with the traditional music. Soccer and basketball are the favourite sports among the youth of the country. Maraingy is a traditional sport played in coastal regions of the country.
