Bordered on the west by Atlantic Ocean, Guinea-Bissau is a country located in West Africa. The geographical coordinates of Guinea-Bissau are 12° North and 15° West. A population of 1,647,000 resides in the country, which is spanned over an area of 36,125 square kilometers. The countries with which Guinea-Bissau shares its borders with are Guinea in the south and Senegal in the north.
