Chad is among the poorest countries in the world with 8% of its population living under poverty line. Lack of natural resources, droughts, and improper infrastructure has made things a little more difficult.

Chad has a rich cultural heritage. The Chad National Museum showcases the traditions and customs of the Chad people. There are many languages spoken in Chad, which adds to its affluent culture.
