The topography of the northern part of the country is dominated by mountains and the Red River Delta. Forests and coastal plains constitutes the southern Vietnam. Mekong delta is the lowest point in the country at a height of around 9.8 feet. Lào Cai province is home to the most elevated peak of the country, Phan Xi P?ng at a height of 10,312 feet.
