Hi,

I was working on a project where we were using maven 2 as build tool. Later on we decided to deploy our application on the Jboss 4 server.

So, to make the things simple we used jboss-maven-plugin to deploy the application on Jboss server.

Steps to deploy your application on Jboss using maven 2:

Step 1:

Add the following code into pom.xml file

<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>jboss-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<jbossHome>/Library/JBoss/4.0.2</jbossHome>
<port>9090</port>
</configuration>
</plugin>

Step 2:

Modify the Jboss home settings:
<jbossHome>/Library/JBoss/4.0.2</jbossHome>

Step 3:

To deploy the application run the following command:
maven jboss:deploy

About harddeploy feature of Maven 2:
In case you want to just copy the war file into jboss deploy directory then you can use the following command:

>mvn jboss:harddeploy

And maven will copy the war file into deploy directory of Jboss application server.
