Hello,
I think your problem is related to the incorrect or two different versions of servlet-api.jar in class path.
Remove the servlet api.jar file that you have downloaded from class path.
Find servlet-api.jar from tomcat directories and use the same to compile the application.
Hope this will solve your problem.
