Hi friend,

i read your problem, i think, this is main problem in your url.

var url = "http://localhost:8080/BIRT_Ajax/run?__report=test.rptdesign";;

where, you want to send page. Now put the correct page link.

And
xmlhttp.responseText;

check the response should be null or not.
