hi..............

thanks 4 ur help.

as u said i have downloaded both the jar files and placed in jdk1.5 lib folder.

but then also its giving the same error can u tel me why this is happening?

and also u said restart your compiler can u tel me how to do that?????///

is it something different or only javac filename.java????????/

Put jar files in lib folder of jre and ext folder of lib in jre also. Restart the compiler means to close the command prompt and then again start it. After that check whether code works ok. One more thing, extract the jar files and check whether the classes that you are importing in your code are present in it.
