What is LARP?

     

LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing, a type of interactive gaming in which the participants perform some or all of the physical actions of the characters during playing the game.  This game is based on any specific theme inspired to any literature or real story of the life, character or history that connect the user to the social activity or way of life.  The whole script or storyline was developed/written by  one or more moderator or  game master. The user decides what to choose a single or more characters of  the game independently. 

Usually, there are two sorts of  LARP, "Combat" and "Theatre". There are transparent and rigid difference between them. Combat LARP is written on the basis of  Conflict, Revolution, Civil war etc. while murder mystery and conspiracy weekends type based themes are called Theatre. Many games are medieval period and fantasy based in which many characters are derived from ancient or medieval period stories or Dungeons & Dragons stories. LARP games are long-running or ever-running games that is divided in many episodes in the story form.  

Some others game are designed only for one episode especially for the weekends in which the users take part in the gathering and it scattered after its ending. Basically this is designed for improving intimate relationship to our society  members. Some games are target-oriented such as quest scenarios and some are competition based. The winner is decided on the basis of scores or points. LARPs are designed for all age group people. This also strengthen the mutual relationship among the society people.
