Is there anyone let me know if there is any document guide us how to use strut 2 tiles?

can any one resolve the below issue, i am very thankfull

in my application i am using tiles with 4 parts Header footer left and right, if i make any changes in right part my whole page is getting refreshed it shouldn,t happen only the right page should refresh can any one solve this

Hi, Thanks for this great example. I tried modifying this example by making the call to action . for that chnaged it to <html:link page="/tiles/example">Tiles Example</html:link>

and gave corresponding forward to example.jsp. But this didn't worked. Please let me know how can we achieve this.

I have been reading a few articles related to Tiles. However I none mentions that you have to have 2 files jsp file ; one for the layout and the other for the content.

Its all becoming clear ..thanks to your article, which states very simply how to use tiles.

just a small suggestion for new version of struts

Rather then using "<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-tiles.tld" prefix="tiles" %>" and making an entry in web.xml one can use the absolute uri = "<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-tiles.tld" prefix="tiles" %>"

Hi,
A small typing mistake

If the attribute ignore="true" then Tiles ignore the missing parameter. If this is true(CORRECTION false) then the Tiles framework will through (throw) the exception in case the parameter is missing.
