It would be nice if this tutorial is expanded to include various examples from PHP, RoR and other framework's in language to tell how MVC is used and the directory structure is maintained so everyone can have a deeper understanding.

its nice stuff for beginnere who want to understand the concept of mvc and mainly the differences of mvc1 an mvc2 anyway its better if u explain more clearly with figures it'll give more clear idea and we can understand more clearly

According to my knowledge
There is no MVC1 and MVC2 design pattern , there is only MVC design pattern is there and Model1 Model2 Architecture check once.
