Conversion from float to String:

In this tutorial we will learn how to convert a float type value to String type value.

Description:

This program will take a float value from console and provides a conversion to String type data. The line float myfloat = Float.parseFloat(buffreader.readLine()); reads the float type data from console. The line String mystring = Float.toString(myfloat); converts the myfloat float type value to mystring String type value.

Code:

import java.io.*;

class floattostring {
public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
// Reads the value from console
BufferedReader buffreader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
System.out.println("---Data Conversion from float type to String type---");
System.out.println("Enter float type value: ");
// Read float type data
float myfloat = Float.parseFloat(buffreader.readLine());
// Convert float type data to String type
String mystring = Float.toString(myfloat);
System.out.println("Converted value from float type to String type is : " + mystring);
}
catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println(" Error " + e);
}
}
}
