Lomboz, the popular open source J2EE development tool created by eteration over two years ago has been completely redesigned and rebranded based on the Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP).
eteration has released the first Milestone of the Lomboz project based Eclipse Web Tools Platform and made the software available for testing and use on its ObjectWeb project site lomboz.objectweb.org. In addition to proving tools from WTP, lomboz provides a preconfigured runtime environment that will get developers started right away. The new Lomboz will come complete with tutorials, cheat sheets, patterns and blue prints for Web, EJB and Web Services development to make enterpise level development easy and accessible to all developers. The first milestone achives the goal of integrating components that will be made available with the final release. The first release of WTP based on Eclipse 3.1 is targeted for July. The first release of Lomboz based on WTP is also targeted for July.
