  Tutorial: AllFusion Plex

AllFusion Plex is an Architected RAD tool that combines the techniques of model-based development, patterns and code generation to accelerate the delivery and maintenance of J2SE and J2EE business applications.

Tutorial Details:

Plex patterns are written in Plex and are highly customizable and extensible. You are also free to write your own patterns from scratch. Patterns are used via an inheritance engine that operates over a semantic network of \"triples\". Triples are simple declarations such as:

\"My Bill of Materials\" is a \"Structure Pattern\"

This triple defines a Bill of Materials object that inherits from the Structure Pattern.

Plex is \"MDA-like\" and there is a UML bridge available. The development process is based on a combination of object orientation and information engineering techniques. The label \"Architected RAD\" is probably the best at summing up what Plex is about.
