Demo
A java-synaptics demo is available for Windows users. Of course, it only works if you have a Synaptics device (such as a laptop touchpad) on your computer.
The demo may not work for users without Visual Studio.NET installed on their system. This bug will be fixed soon, when the developers figure out how to stop Visual Studio from silently adding dependencies on its runtime libraries.
The demo requires the latest Synaptics Drivers from Synaptics. The demo also requires Java 5.0.
Most modern laptop touchpads are Synaptics touchpads. Synaptics touchpads are present in many laptops from Acer, Compaq, Dell, eMachines, Fujitsu, Gateway, Hewlett Packard, Hitachi, IBM, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung, Siemens, Sony, and Toshiba.
If you don't know whether you have a Synaptics TouchPad or TrackPoint, try installing the drivers above and/or running the demonstration.
