The myth and truth of computer book publishing
Like many computer book authors, I did not write books for the royalty money. I have benefited in many other ways from my books (e.g., new friends, new consulting opportunities etc.) -- they are worth the effort, both financially and emotionally. However, I have always resented the fact that authors are paid so little for the books they contributed so much. [more]
