If you're new to Visual Basic or the .NET environment, this book will have you developing complete business applications in less time than you ever expected.
Tutorial Details:
Chapter 1 introduces you to the .NET Framework and the integrated development environment you’ll be using to develop VB.NET programs. By the end of this chapter, you’ll be comfortable with the IDE and the basic .NET structure, so you’ll be ready to learn how to create your first application.
Chapter 2 teaches you the basics of designing, coding, and testing VB.NET applications. When you’re done, you’ll be able to develop your first applications …and the exercises in this chapter will give you extra practice doing just that.
Chapter 3 gets you going with Visual Basic language elements like assignment statements (for assigning values to different types of variables), arithmetic and conditional expressions, nested If statements, and Select Case statements. At the end, you’ll be able to write the code for simple applications of your own.
