Tutorial Details:
The course is designed to be a practical training vehicle for software architects, designers, developers and business analysts. Beginning with an introduction on Borland Together and the user interface of the modeling tool, the course explores the basic concepts of modeling using each of the UML diagram types. Embedded within the course are a number of best practices and recommended approaches to maximizing user's productivity with Together.
The course is a fast paced mixture of over lecture-style multimedia presentations and technical demonstrations of combined duration of over 2 hours. The course gives students a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of building UML models with Together - from use case models, through modeling static system aspects, to specifying system dynamics.

An overview of fundamental feature sets necessary to be successful in modeling systems using Borland Together.

The concepts of use cases, use case models and actors; levels of use case diagrams and use case relationships; use-case driven approach for system design.
Activity diagrams
The association between activity diagrams and use cases; the various graphic elements of activity diagrams (actors, swimlanes, terminators, activities, transition lanes, synchronization bars); composite activities.
