Tutorial: Object Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML Training

Master OO Design and Analysis

Tutorial Details:

This course provides an in-depth technical study of object oriented analysis and design for business systems. Modelling techniques are based on the Unified Modelling Language (UML) with special emphasis on specifying requirements with use cases and how to convert these into a fully integrated object oriented model.
Each technique is taught to the level required for competence on a real project and understanding is tested and improved with exercises. A short, smooth, iterative and incremental software process is described which improves speed of delivery, estimation and traceability. Sections on business process modelling, component based modelling and design patterns are included.

Students spend a significant part of the course applying the techniques to a real-world project example using a suitable case tool.

Project Managers, System Analysts, System Designers, Programmers, Anyone who is moving to, or evaluating a potential move to, use of technology within business system development environments. Participants will have some experience of software engineering and some prior understanding of objects would be useful, but is not essential.
