Windows Tips Startup

Your computer can run much faster if you disable programs from starting up with your computer.

Some programs when installed will automatically set themselves to start up with the computer. This can be a nuisance since to many program running at once can slow down your computer. This however is not the big problem. Many spyware and adware programs start up with your computer. It is possible to disable a few different types using the method discussed in this tutorial but this is by no means a way of reclaiming your computer from these annoying programs. All the programs listed in the MSConfig utility can be disabled. Some things you are use to might look different if you turn of certain programs however. In most cases it is best to turn off everything you never use all the time. Here is a list of things not to turn off : Anti-Virus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Adware, Popup-Blockers, some sound utilities, and any instant messaging programs you might want to load with windows. Now like I said it's ok to turn off everything, your computer will still turn on just fine, so disable everything. If it looks different and you don't like it then simply go back and turn it on until it's just right. Also note if you get an error message saying you do not have permission to access this feature then you are not logged on as an administrator (something you need to be inorder to do this). Remember the fewer programs you have running the better.
