Tutorial: Windows Tips Hidden Files Tutorial

Hidden Files can be useful but also sometimes annoying.

Tutorial Details:

Windows Tips Hidden Files

Windows and some programs will automatically hid files from your view to protect you. Windows automatically hides the contents of the C drive, windows folder, and program files folder. These can be easily unhidden to view the files they contain.

Simply open the folder and click where it says "view contents." Spread across the rest of your computer are probably many other files and folders which have been hidden by windows, other programs and/or yourself. These can be viewed by enabling hidden folders and files to be viewable.

If this is done then the hidden files and folder will appear dimmer than the unhidden ones around them. They can also be made unhidden by adjusting the hidden attribute on the properties menu.
