Tutorial: Javascript Forms Focusing on the next form field when selecting Tutorial

This tutorial demonstrates how to make a form automatically shift the focus to the next form field when a selection is made in a select box. It supports multiple forms on the page and is completely automated.

Tutorial Details:

Focusing on the next form field when selecting

This demonstrates how to change the focus to the next form field after making a selection from a select box.

It is entirely automated. The JavaScript iterates through every form tag on the page, and then through each element within each form. When it finds an input or select box it adds a reference to an array.

It also adds the onchange function to the select boxes. When a selection is made, "next()" is called, which iterates through the array to find the select box, and then if there is a 'next' field it sets the focus on it.
