Sometimes you need to pass some larger amount of data which you can not or will not pass through URL therefore you can use forms.

Passing parameters (part 2)

In our previous tutorial, we learnt how to pass parameters through the URL. This is an excellent and easier method and is most suitable for passing small amount of parameters. However, one problem with this method is that the parameters that you pass over are all visible in the Address bar of the browser (for instance when quiz_answer.cfm is displayed). A solution for this is to pass the parameters through a form.
