Tutorial: Dreamweaver Dreamweaver and Fireworks Fireworks Paste Inside Tutorial

Learn how to create pictures in the shape of objects you create using the paste Inside technique in Fireworks.

Tutorial Details:

Fireworks Paste Inside

The one great design idea that I love in Fireworks is the Paste Inside command. Instead of cutting an image in a desired shape you can simply create the shape and paste the image inside it. It is very easy to paste pictures inside a star, spiral, donut, arrow, circle, square or a pie as these are in-built shapes that are automatically available in Fireworks MX 2004.

Alternatively, you can create a complex shape and insert a picture inside it. In this tutorial we will learn how to create pictures in certain shapes that are already available in Fireworks MX 2004.

Steps to Follow

1.Open a blank document in Fireworks MX 2004.

2.The first step is to create the object. We will select the spiral tool for this tutorial. Select the spiral tool from the shape tool in the left tool bar. If you are working in Fireworks, you can select the circle or square tool.
