Quick guide on how to install/configure apache and coldfusion on windows.

I've seen quite a few questions lately on how to install coldfusion and Apache on windows, so I though it would be time to write some documentation about it. So here it goes, one note of warning, this tutorial is only intended for etting up a development server.

Download the latest version of Apache at http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi
Browse a little farther into the directory until you Are "httpd/binaries/win32/"
that is where the binaries for win32 are located.

From here you can either download the full setup package or the MSI (Microsoft System Installer) release if you already have the Microsoft System Installer installed on your machine.

In this example we will download the executable to keep it simple.
" http://apache.belnet.be/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/apache_1.3.22-win32-x86.exe " Start the installer and run through the installation.

If you chose to install Apache as a service, go to the control panel Administrative Tools in win2k) select services and start Apache.
