How to make a home icon
This example is very useful to make a home icon, it is used in the webpage.
New document: Take a new document with any size (Ctrl + N).
Draw a circle: Choose Ellipse tool (U key) and drag a circle with any color as you like.
Layer style: Go to Layer menu > Layer style > Apply Bevel and Emboss.
You should have similar as here.
Selection: Choose Elliptical Marquee tool (M key) and make a circle selection and fill white color by the Paint bucket tool (G key).
Layer style: Now give a gradient effect, go to Layer menu > Layer style > Gradient Overlay.
You will find this picture after gradient effect.
Home shape: Choose Custom shape tool (U key) and select home shape as here.
Draw home shape: Now drag home shape on the middle of the circle with white color.
Layer style: Go to Layer menu > Layer style > Apply Stroke as here.
This is your final home icon.
