Linux Caixa Mágica 10 Live CD has been released now

The developers of Linux Caixa Mágica, a Portuguese desktop and server distribution based on SUSE Linux, have released a live CD edition of Caixa Mágica 10 Desktop. Designed as a bootable CD without the need to install it to a hard disk, this product is an excellent way to test the distribution and may also be given freely to friends and colleagues who might be interested in experimenting with Linux. The live CD boots into a KDE desktop localised into Portuguese.

A Caixa Mágica disponibiliza para download a partir de hoje, 26 de Janeiro de 2006, a versão Live CD do Linux CM Desktop 10.

Esta versão permite uma utilização básica de Linux CM (Office, acesso à Internet via ethernet, multimédia, impressão,...) sem necessidade de instalação: basta introduzir o CD e reiniciar o computador.

Esta é uma forma de divulgar o Linux CM junto de colegas e amigos. Faça o download, grave um CD e ofereça-lhes para eles experimentarem.

Esta versão não é aconselhável para utilizações profissionais ou intensivas dado que como não está guardada em disco, o desempenho é inferior à versão Linux CM Desktop 10 Pro.
