Linspire 5.1 has been released now

The engineers have been released Linspire Five-0 V2 now.

Some More Information

If you have a perfectly working Linspire Five-0 system and you are happy with it there is no need to immediately upgrade to this version. There are no major new features and it looks the same as the current version. This is mainly a *hardware release* to try to fix problems with certain types of hardware.

If you have been experiencing problems trying to get Linspire Five-0 to install on your hardware then we encourage you to check out this updated version. If all your hardware works perfectly we encourage you to test the Live CD first before installing! When you first boot up you will have the option to load the Live CD or Install. I would encourage you to make sure it works with the Live CD first. If you experience problems with it then please do not do the full install.

During the ISO Installation you can choose "Update" and it will attempt to keep your data and settings and update to the newer version. We strongly encourage you to back up your date before attempting an installation of any type!

Important Note : If yuu have win4lin working with linspire five-0 it will *not* work with this new version!

We are waiting on a patch from Win4Lin, Inc. and if you must have Win4Lin then you should stick with your current version of Linspire Five-0!
