Linux Distribution: Plan-B
Url: http://www.projectplanb.org/

Plan-B is a bootable Linux environment without the need for a hard drive, it runs entirely in ram or from the cd, based on a basic, stripped installation of Red Hat Linux and the fundamental workings of the SuperRescue CD.

About Plan-B
A list of tools and utilities are also included for projects such as:

Forensics/Data Recovery
System/Network Analysis and Security Scanning
Temporary Network Device/Server
IDS / NIDS System
Network Status Report Creation
Originally this started as a research project in my first year at IADT It was created to be a tool which could serve many roles for a technician or network administrator. It wasn't long before a few friends, also in the field, urged me to release the project for open source development. I realized this could only improve what I know has the potential to be a very useful utility. Thanks and much gratitude goes to T & T, Inc. for the donation of the webspace and allowing us to share their bandwidth. However, their traffic is metered and charged for, so anyone able to contribute mirrors for the ISOs would be greatly appreciated. Also, I??d like to thank Barry Marhefka for coming up with its name; otherwise it would still be called ??that cd??.
