Multiple Methods in Jsp

Jsp is used mainly for presentation logic. In the jsp we can declare methods just like as we declare methods in java classes. Methods can be declared in either declaration directive or we can declare it in scriptlet. If we declare method inside declaration directive, then the method is applicable in the whole page.

In this example you will learn how to declare multiple  method in jsp  that prints the sum of two numbers. and subtraction of two numbers. <%! -----------%> this is a declaration tag. All the methods and variables are declared within this tag.  <% ------- %>This tag is known as  Scriplets . We can embed any amount of java code in the JSP Scriptlets. In this example method addNum() returns sum of two numbers and  method subtractNum returns subtraction of two numbers. In this example we have declared the following method named addNum(int i, int b) and subtractNum(int i, int b) which will return int. In the first method we are adding two numbers and in the second method we are subtracting two numbers. The output will be displayed to you by using the out implicit object which is used to write the content on the browser.
