Java, Standard Edition also called Java SE is commonly used in Java programming. In other words, Java standard edition comprise of a virtual machine, which is put in practice for running Java programs in conjunctions with a set of libraries required to use different applications.

Java, Standard Edition also called Java SE is commonly used in Java programming. This Java Platform is instrumental in implementing portable applications that are in common practice. Before getting its present name Java Standard Edition 6.0, this platform has gone under various names like java 2 Platform, Standard Edition or J2SE. Oracle Java Standard editions has two versions namely Oracle Java SE Advanced and Oracle Java SE Suite.
